Use of their as-needed low dose ICS-formoterol reliever 3 times per week 

Waking one time at night per week due to asthma symptoms

Low dose ICS-formoterol for both maintenance and as-needed use (MART)

As-needed SABA + ICS whenever SABA is taken

DPI requires shaking before use, while HFA inhaler does not

DPI should be primed with a test spray before each use, while HFA inhaler does not require priming

DPI can be held at any angle, while HFA inhalers should be held upright (vertically) during use

DPI does not require coordination of inhalation with device activation, while HFA inhaler does require this

Patients should be instructed to take it in the evening

It is a possible asthma reliever therapy option in patients who struggle to self-administer inhaled medications
